A great video with info that normally don’t get media attention as it should.

Important warning ... consumers are treated like rubes, and we're all consumers. Tech is being used to limit product life - cause failure to create constant consumers. Ahh ... the days of the 'Maytag Man' ... he was obsolete due to tech, not solid product mechanics providing a long service life. We need to reassess what products actually provide better performance life, and do they need anything more than mechanical on/off switches?

Spot on Kathleen, I remember the days when things used to last, today...I still don't get it why people keep buying new phones, perhaps because most have adopted a rubes attitude. And indeed we need to question the products put in our faces, and ask " do we really need this?" We are wasting precious natural resources and our liberty, just for the sake of convenience and novelty.

You’re sniffing the right trail, Diamantino — you just haven’t followed it deep enough. The cattle aren’t being herded by code; they’re being herded by mind parasites hiding behind that code. The real cage isn’t invisible; it’s ontological. If you want to escape, stop treating AI as the villain and start seeing the architecture of control behind it. The machines don’t rule — they serve whoever writes the narrative. Learn to read that code, and you won’t need to fear any algorithm.

That's the current state we currently are, convenience has made us adopt certain behaviours and needs. And giving up on certain things seems impossible for most of us. But I believe we need to stop and think on the impact of our actions.
