This is great. Tools help, but they don’t replace the heart behind the work.

Indeed. That's what tools are for. The day a tool becomes "sentient", especially in the AI realm, maybe in a few centuries, will not a tool anymore, but something we will need to discuss how we interact and what could even mean to us.

Another great article Diamantino. Some excellent advice on 'ethical transparency' and 'trust'. This is foundational leadership behaviour in every organization. Thx.

Thank you Kathleen, I feel this is what will need in the future and even now.

Thank you for your support.

Nice post Diamantino. You bring a lot of valid points. I'm retired now and out of the game. I still coach some of the same people you are talking about here. I see AI as the new power play in the corporate world. Sadly that doesn't address any of the short comings you mention. Interested to see how this all shakes out. You are right, focus on the fundamental tools of management and you should be ok.

Thank you Andrew. This is totally different from "the Cloud", where it took many years until companies adopt it. With AI, the game is different, and it feels to me that the pursuit of AGI at any cost, is probably the fear of being second. I keep imagine if someone achieve it and all problems can be simply solved by it, but the problem is that humanity problems are not math problems, and big tech is currently in tunnel mindset way...

Funny thing is even our greatest successes went through a hype cycle. People at one time thought we were going to have nuclear powered washing machines of course we don’t, but that doesn’t mean that nuclear power is not a valuable source of energy.

That's a great point. And true, yes I remember reading about some crazy things, even atomic planes, but it was discontinued for obvious reasons.

I lately start thinking that today tech is turning us into footprints, instead of building our legacy.
