It very much represents how I've thought about life since leaving the world of corporate and striking out on my own. You've articulated it a lot better than I ever could! I really appreciate your point about the value of mentoring people just to help without necessarily any immediate payoff. Sometimes the pay I receive is just knowing that I helped somebody through a hard time or helped them get to their next step in their career. And that's pretty cool. :-)
"Life isn’t about finding yourself" - that one hit. It is about the incremental decisions and paths we take daily, in the microseconds we have to make choices.

I really resonate with the idea that identity is built through the choices we make, rather than something we eventually “find.” I see this a lot with career transitions too. Sometimes you only learn what fits by trying things, paying attention, and adjusting along the way. Your point about constraints really resonated with me too. We’re not making these decisions in a vacuum. Really enjoyed reading this.

Framing it as engineering instead of finding changes the whole approach. One is passive, the other isn’t.
It’s the actions with purpose that make us moving forward.
Agreed. Purpose is what turns action into progress instead of just motion.
It's the intention that in my opinion matters.
